Tom\u00e1\u0161e. Suroviny m\u011bl t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 na dosah \u2013 na sousedn\u00edm ostrov\u011b St. Croix.<\/p>\n<p><strong>St. Croix \u2013 Zahrada Z\u00e1padn\u00ed Indie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ostrov St. Croix, kter\u00fd objevil Kry\u0161tof Kolumbus p\u0159i sv\u00e9 druh\u00e9 plavb\u011b, byl v 18. stolet\u00ed proslul\u00fd svou bujnou p\u0159\u00edrodou a rozs\u00e1hlou produkc\u00ed cukrov\u00e9 t\u0159tiny. V dob\u011b nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edho rozmachu zde fungovalo v\u00edce ne\u017e 200 cukrovar\u016f a o rumu ze St. Croix se mluvilo jako o n\u011b\u010dem v\u00fdjime\u010dn\u00e9m.
