Saint-Thomas \u00e0 cinq reprises. La fr\u00e9gate eut plusieurs commandants c\u00e9l\u00e8bres, dont le prince Karl (qui deviendra plus tard le roi Haakon de Norv\u00e8ge). Sur l\u2019\u00eele carib\u00e9enne de Saint-Thomas, Valdemar Riise, fils de A.H. Riise, a pu voir la magnifique fr\u00e9gate accoster dans la capitale Charlotte Amalie. Aujourd\u2019hui, la fr\u00e9gate Jylland est le plus grand navire en bois conserv\u00e9 au monde. C\u2019est un navire tout \u00e0 fait unique qui fait non seulement partie de l\u2019histoire du Danemark, mais aussi du patrimoine culturel mondial. Riise Spirits (aujourd\u2019hui connu sous le nom d\u2019Old St. Croix) a fait un don de 4,900 euros pour soutenir la pr\u00e9servation du navire de guerre historique, l\u2019un des plus grands au monde. La fr\u00e9gate a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le central dans l\u2019histoire de la marine danoise et a fait cinq escales dans les \u00eeles danoises des Antilles, o\u00f9 le pharmacien Albert Heinrich Riise a fond\u00e9 sa pharmacie.<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est ce lien historique qui nous inspire \u00e0 soutenir la pr\u00e9servation de la fr\u00e9gate Jylland, afin que les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures puissent appr\u00e9cier et tirer les le\u00e7ons de notre pass\u00e9 commun. Riise fabriquait du rhum et des amers pour soulager les maux d\u2019estomac. Cependant, son rhum devint rapidement populaire \u00e0 des fins autres que m\u00e9dicales, et en 1893, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 A.H. Riise remporta sa premi\u00e8re m\u00e9daille d\u2019or internationale lors de l\u2019Exposition universelle de Chicago.\u00a0A.H. Riise d\u00e9veloppa et perfectionna des marques fortes telles que Old St.\u00a0Croix Brand, Riises Guava Rum, A.H.
