In addition to being a pharmacist, Albert Heinrich Riise was an avid botanist and zoologist who spent his entire life seeking new knowledge about the animal and plant life on his many journeys in the Caribbean. XO Explorer is a true tribute to the many Danish scientists and explorers who, like Albert Heinrich Riise, contributed to our understanding of the world. Expeditions that led to the discovery of many new areas, plant and animal species, and provided us with knowledge that many take for granted today.
The labels and gift boxes of the XO series contain some of the plants and animals that A.H. Riise found in his insatiable quest for new knowledge.
