Founders Reserve is a small treasure trove consisting of blends, which represent a reduced, exclusive snapshot. The precious drops come in very limited and varying numbers of bottles. Each batch is based on how much, or rather how little, of the golden casks, are available. Every batch is a unique work of art that can never be recreated. All Founders Reserve bottles are numbered. The product is sold out. On some occasions, resellers may have a few bottles in stock.

When creating a batch our Master Blender chooses between numerous casks containing old rum matured to perfection. Each individual cask shows unique aromas and expressions and small variations will always occur in different batches. True connoisseurs will notice slight differences between the batches and will also be able to taste the differences between the 3 Founders Reserve editions with their own unique alcohol percentage.
In his search for more knowledge, A.H. Riise found a variety of herbs, plants, and animals. Brachioteuthis Riisei is a small, colourless, fairly common squid found in the West Indian Isles. It was registered by the zoologist, Professor Johannes Steenstrup, in 1882. Today it can be found on our Founders reserve label.
