Inspired by this unique seasonal spirit, our Master Distiller created the XO Reserve Christmas Edition – an aromatic and well-balanced holiday blend. Perfect for festive dinners, gift unwrapping, or a quiet evening by the fire. And if there’s any left… well, they do say Christmas lasts till Easter.
TASTING NOTES
Nose
Pineapple, mango and ripe honeydew melon with vanilla cream, accompanied by milk chocolate with orange crunch and coconut. Later, a lovely light spicy note comes to the fore
Taste
The melon salad flambes from the nose, but there is also a delightfully light herbal note, which balances the sweet fruit taste.
Finish
A mild, spicy note from the barrel emerges gradually

Riise the Santa
- 6 cl Christmas Edition XO
- 2 cl Organic Turmeric & Blood Orange grape juice
- 1.5 cl Gingerbread Syrup
- 1 cl Amaro
- 1 Dash Aromatic Bitters
Fill a fine glass with ice.
Pour XO Reserve Christmas Edition, Blood Orange Juice, Gingerbread Syrup, Amaro, and Angostura Bitter into a shaker and fill it with ice.
Shake, shake, shake.
Discard the ice in the glass and then strain it into the cooled glass.

- 2.5 cl Walnut Liqueur
- 2.5 cl Cold Brew Coffee
- 1.5 cl Coffee Liqueur
- 1 Dash Chocolate Bitters
Stir with plenty of ice directly in the glass.
Add more ice.

With the name change from A.H. Riise to Old St. Croix, we’re taking one step back – to take two steps forward. With the new name, we’re reviving the original vision that inspired Albert Heinrich Riise more than 150 years ago, when he made Danish West Indian rum known far beyond the shores of the islands.
