We’ve gathered four delicious and easy-to-make cocktails that bring a festive twist to New Year’s Eve with Old St. Croix Black Barrel.
The Perfect Addition to Your New Year’s Party
As the new year approaches, there are many ways to celebrate – but one ingredient shines in many unforgettable festivities: the golden, barrel-aged drops crafted from sugarcane in the West Indies and Central America! With its sweetness and warm tropical notes, Old St. Croix can be the secret ingredient that makes your New Year’s Eve extra special.
Old St. Croix in Desserts
Desserts and Old St. Croix are a match made in heaven. Consider serving a classic rum cake infused with the rich and complex flavours of Non Plus Ultra Very Rare, featuring notes of caramel, vanilla, and citrus. Or try caramelized pineapple flambé, where a splash of Black Barrel enhances the tropical notes and adds a touch of the Caribbean to your dish. How about a luxurious Tiramisu with a twist of Rum Cream? Sweet, silky, and irresistible. For a cold dessert option, create homemade vanilla ice cream with Old St. Croix-marinated raisins for a sweet and aromatic finish.
Perfect Pairings with Coffee
After dinner, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the company. A cup of coffee paired with a glass of Non Plus Ultra Very Rare or XO Reserve 175 Years Anniversary is the ideal choice for guests who appreciate a barrel-aged blend. The perfect combination of creamy sweetness and subtle rum notes is found in our Rum Cream with a touch of caramel and sea salt. Having these bottles on the table ensures a fantastic atmosphere.
New Year’s Cocktails with Black Barrel
Cocktails are a festive way to celebrate New Year’s, and with Old St. Croix’s Black Barrel, you can easily create magical versions of classic drinks. Here are three festive recipes to suit every taste…

5 cl Black Barrel 2 cl Fresh lime juice 1 cl Simple syrup (1:1) Cut the lime and squeeze the juice into a shaker filled with ice. Add Black Barrel, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Pour the cocktail into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.
• 5 cl Black Barrel • 1 cl Simple syrup • 2 cl Fresh lime juice • 1.5 cl Orange curaçao • 2 dashes Angostura bitters • 6 cl Cold dry sparkling wine Mix Black Barrel, syrup, fresh lime juice, orange curaçao, and Angostura bitters in a shaker with ice.
