The Black Spinel is one of the rarest gemstones that can be found deep in the ground of the West Indies and Central America. Our master distiller has followed in the footsteps of Albert Heinrich Riise on a quest to create a series of extraordinary blends based on premium casks from the finest distilleries. Each cask is hand-picked, carefully evaluated, and blended to create something exceptional. The result is a collection of outstanding luxury blends tapped in a limited number of beautiful black bottles. Black Spinel has an alcohol strength of 46.1% and is available in a limited quantity of 5.570 numbered bottles in 7 batches. Exquisite blends, that capture the very soul of the beautiful West Indies. Released 28th of March 2025.

Nez
Subtle but alluring scent of dried fruit, high esters followed by fresh hay.
Goût
Soft umami from oak envelops a sensation of roasted hazelnuts, dried stone fruit, and a very light hint of tobacco.
Finale
Long lingering taste of oak and gentle tannins. Dried fruit peel and volatile spices.

Found deep in the ground
The Black Spinel is a gemstone that can be found deep in the ground of the West Indies and Central America. The same fertile soil also provides nourishment and minerals to the sugarcanes in our ‘Black Gem Collection’. The mysterious Black Spinel is said to dispel sadness, induce calmness and re-establish relationships, quite like the enjoyment of the luscious Black Spinel in company of good friends.

The Collection consists of exquisite blends that capture the very soul of the beautiful West Indies: Black Coral, Black Larimar, and Black Spinel. Each batch, each bottle, is a unique gem, marked with a number to state its singularity and rareness.
